How it works
- Choose metres or feet and enter the room length, width and wall height.
- Enter the combined square area of doors and windows. This is deducted from the paintable wall area.
- For paint, enter the coats, stated tin coverage, tin size and waste allowance.
- For wallpaper, enter the roll dimensions, pattern repeat and waste allowance.
- Copy or print your estimate, then compare it with the manufacturer’s guidance.
Wallpaper allowance
The wallpaper estimate uses the full room perimeter and does not deduct openings. This conservative approach helps provide offcuts for fitting around doors and windows and reduces the risk of a shortfall.
